USHER Device Operation Manual

USHER スマートペンダントの操作マニュアルへようこそ！このドキュメントでは、ウェアラブルペンダントデバイス本体の操作、充電、ジェスチャー、およびスマートフォンアプリとの同期方法について説明します。

[01] 基本仕様 ＆ 構成

USHER は直径 44.5mm のネジなしスナップフィット3Dプリントシェルを採用した円形スマートペンダントです。胸元に装着してサイバーパンクファッションを演出しつつ、内蔵のデュアルコアプロセッサと 16MB SPI フラッシュストレージによって独立した Lua アプリケーションやカスタム動画を動作させることができます。

[02] USB Type-C 充電 ＆ 電源管理

デバイス下部に充電用の USB Type-C コネクタが配置されており、内蔵の 530mAh Li-Po バッテリー を安全に充電できます。高効率な昇降圧コンバーター回路により、低い電圧まで安定して動作します。

  • 赤色LED点灯: USB-Cケーブルが接続され、現在充電中であることを示します。
  • 緑色LED点灯: バッテリーの充電が完了したことを示します。

[03] 画面操作 ＆ スリープ・ダブルタップ復帰

USHER は、直感的なタッチセンサーにより、首掛け状態でも簡単に操作できるように設計されています。

  • 円形タッチパネル操作: 1.28インチの丸型画面はタッチ操作に対応しています。ホーム画面のウィジェットリストは左右スワイプで切り替えることができ、画面タップでメニューを決定します。
  • 自動画面スリープ: 電力を保護するため、しばらく操作しないと画面が自動的に消灯（Deep Sleep）します。スリープに入るまでの時間は、デバイスの「設定 (Settings)」メニューから変更可能です。
  • ダブルタップ復帰: 画面が消灯しているスリープ状態のとき、画面ガラス面を「トントン」とダブルタップすることで、瞬時にスリープから復帰して点灯します。

[04] LittleFS ストレージ ＆ BLE データ同期

USHER 本体のフラッシュメモリ上に LittleFS ファイルシステム が構築されており、すべての画像、設定ファイル、Lua スクリプトは不揮発的に保存されます。

  • スマートBLE同期: スマートフォンアプリとペアリング（Bluetooth経由）することで、PCに接続することなくアセットやプログラムを転送できます。
  • TCPライクな高信頼転送 (ACK制御): 大容量のGIFアニメーションやLuaファイルを送る際、BLEのパケットロスによる切断を防ぐために、128KBごとに応答を確認する独自ACK転送プロトコルを実装しています。これより、Wi-Fiに切り替えることなくBLE単体で高速かつ安定したファイル転送を実現しています。
  • 即時反映: アプリのアップロードや設定の同期が完了すると、デバイスが即座に情報を更新し、再起動または画面リフレッシュを行います。

[05] Wi-Fi制限と電波曝露（SAR）警告

  • Wi-Fi機能の無効化: ネックレス型ウェアラブルデバイスの安全基準（比吸収率/SAR規格）を満たすため、公式ファームウェアではWi-Fi機能を完全に停止・無効化しており、極低出力のBluetooth Low Energy (BLE) のみを使用しています。
  • カスタムファームウェアの制限: ユーザーが独自のファームウェアを書き込み、Wi-Fi機能を有効化した場合、人体近接時の安全基準であるSAR（比吸収率）の許容値基準を満たさなくなる（基準値超過）可能性があります。
  • 免責事項: 独自ファームウェアの適用や改造行為を行った場合、公式製品の保証やPL保険の適用はすべて失われます。これに伴う動作不良、過熱・火災、規制当局からの警告、健康上の被害等について、開発元および販売元は一切の責任を負いません。すべて実行者の完全な自己責任となります。

Welcome to the USHER Smart Pendant operation manual! This document covers how to control, charge, navigate, and sync your wearable pendant device.

[01] Specifications & Layout

USHER features a screwless, snap-fit 3D-printed pebble shell with a 44.5mm diameter. Designed as a cyberpunk statement piece, it runs on an advanced dual-core processor and 16MB SPI flash, executing standalone custom Lua apps and rendering delta-compressed video animations directly on your chest.

[02] USB Type-C Charging & Power Management

A USB Type-C port is located at the bottom of the pendant. It connects to an onboard linear charger managing a 530mAh Li-Po battery, regulated by an ultra-efficient buck-boost converter.

  • Solid Red LED: The device is currently charging over USB.
  • Solid Green LED: The battery is fully charged and ready to go.

[03] Screen Navigation & Gestures

USHER combines a capacitive touchscreen with a 6-axis IMU (inertial measurement unit) for optimized neck-worn control.

  • Circular Touch Navigation: The 1.28-inch screen captures taps and swipes. Swipe left or right on the watch-face widget carousel to cycle screens, and tap to trigger specific functions.
  • Auto-Sleep Timer: To maximize battery life, the screen automatically goes dark into Deep Sleep after a set time. The sleep timeout can be adjusted in the "Settings" menu.
  • Double-Tap Wake: When the device is asleep, firmly double-tap the glass lens. The 6-axis motion sensor detects the vibration and wakes the display instantly.
  • Tilt Gesture: Angle the pendant up toward your face to wake the screen or interact with responsive widgets automatically.

[04] LittleFS Storage & BLE Data Syncing

The device leverages a LittleFS file system partition to safely store assets, code, and logs on the SPI flash.

  • Wireless Sync: Sync custom layouts and scripts over Bluetooth LE. No cables or PCs required.
  • High-Reliability BLE ACK Protocol: When transferring large files like GIFs, WebPs, or firmware, the device uses a custom TCP-like ACK handshake. It buffers chunks in its 8MB PSRAM and notifies the sender every 128KB, securing stability without needing Wi-Fi power.
  • Automatic Apply: Once data sync completes, the device instantly registers the changes and refreshes the current view or reboots if an OTA update was completed.

[05] Wi-Fi Limitation & SAR Compliance Warning

  • Wi-Fi Limitation: To ensure compliance with Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) limits for body-worn wearable devices, the official firmware completely disables Wi-Fi. The device operates exclusively on low-power Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
  • Custom Firmware: If you write custom firmware or flash third-party software that enables Wi-Fi, the device will exceed the SAR evaluation exemption threshold. Doing so may exceed Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) limits for body-worn devices.
  • Disclaimer: Any such modification constitutes unauthorized tampering. The manufacturer and developers bear no liability for health issues, regulatory penalties, or hardware failure caused by unauthorized software modifications or Wi-Fi activation.

USHER Companion App Manual

USHER スマートフォンコンパニオンアプリの操作マニュアルへようこそ！このドキュメントでは、アプリを使用した接続設定、GIPHYの検索・編集、作成済みファイルの管理、および内蔵のLuaエミュレータとテーマ変更機能について説明します。

[01] BLE接続 ＆ 初期設定

スマートペンダント（USHERデバイス）とアプリは Bluetooth LE (BLE) を介してシームレスに同期します。

  • ペアリング手順: アプリのダッシュボードにあるスキャンボタンをタップし、検知された USHER_XXXX を選んで接続します。
  • 自動再接続: 過去にペアリングしたデバイスが近くにあり、かつデバイスの電源がオンになると、アプリは自動的に接続を復元します。
  • ダッシュボード概要: 接続後は、ペンダントの現在のバッテリー残量、LittleFS ストレージ容量、接続中のデバイス情報などが表示されます。

[02] GIPHY 検索 ＆ ダウンローダー

アプリのメニューから「GIPHY Search」にアクセスでき、首掛けデバイスに表示したいGIF画像を簡単にダウンロードできます。

  • 検索機能: キーワードで探すほか、画面上の「Trending」「Cyberpunk」「Anime」「Pixel Art」「Gaming」「Sci-Fi」などのチップカテゴリをタップして直接フィードを読み込めます。
  • 無限スクロール: グリッドを下にスクロールしていくと、自動で次の30枚の画像がロードされ、途切れることなく閲覧可能です。
  • オフライン動作: ペンダント本体が接続されていない状態でも、GIFの検索と保存が可能です。保存されたデータはすぐに「動画エディタ」へ転送され、編集や保存が行えます。

[03] 動画 ＆ GIFクリップエディタ

ダウンロードしたGIFやデバイスから取り込んだ動画は、実機ディスプレイ用に綺麗に編集できます。

  • 切り出しと加工: アニメーションのトリミング、円形（ベゼルにフィット）または長方形クロップ、拡大縮小、回転、再生スピード、およびフレームレート（FPS）の調整が可能です。
  • デルタ圧縮 (RGB565 / RGB332): BLE転送に最適な形式にエンコードします。フレーム間の差分（デルタ）のみを取り出すことで、画質を保ったままパケットサイズを極限まで縮小します。
  • ダイレクトアップロード: 編集が完了したら、ボタン一つでペアリングされたスマートペンダントへ転送可能です。

[04] 作成済みファイルギャラリー (アップロード履歴)

アプリ内で作成したアニメーションファイルは、専用のギャラリーに整理されて保存されます。

  • ミニマルなデザイン: ファイル名は表示せず、2列の美しいグリッドレイアウトで直感的に画像を一覧できます。
  • カード内の各種情報:
    • 日付: 各カードの右上に表示されます。
    • ファイル容量: 各カードの左下に表示されます。
    • アップロードボタン: 各カードの右下に配置されます。ペンダントへのアップロードが成功している場合は、緑色のチェックアイコンが表示されます。
  • インライン差分再生: デルタ圧縮された .rgb565 や .rgb332 アニメーションを解読し、ギャラリー内でリアルタイム再生する軽量カスタムプレイヤーが統合されています。
  • 一括選択削除 (Multi-Select): カードを長押しするとチェックボックス付きの複数選択モードに入ります。削除したい複数のカードを選択し、アプリ上部のゴミ箱アイコンをタップすることで一括で消去できます。

[05] Luaアプリエディタ ＆ 円形エミュレータ

PCを使うことなく、スマホ上で直接スマートウォッチ用のプログラムを構築できます。

  • スクリプト作成: 組み込みのコードエディタで Lua スクリプトを記述できます。
  • 実機そっくりのエミュレートプレビュー: 円形ベゼルを模したエミュレータ上で、lua_dardo 仮想マシンが動作します。LVGLウィジェットの描画、Lottieベクターアニメーション、フォント（Share Tech Mono, Montserrat）、および特殊アイコン文字（\uE001〜\uE020）の表示をすべてスマホ上で完璧にプレビューできます。
  • モック設定永続化: app.save_settings や json.save などのストレージ保存関数は、エミュレータ用としてスマホ内のJSONファイルへ仮想的に読み書きされます。これにより、ゲームのハイスコア記録や設定メニューの切り替えがリフレッシュをまたいで維持されます。
  • BLEアプリインストール: 完成したスクリプトは、エミュレータから直接ペンダントへアップロードされ、即座に実機内で実行可能になります。

[06] アプリテーマカスタマイザ (設定内)

コンパニオンアプリおよびペンダントのユーザーインターフェース外観を好みにカスタマイズできます。

  • 設定メニューからアクセス: アプリの「設定 (Settings)」内の「外観 (Appearance)」から入ることができます。
  • テーマ編集: メインカラー、グラデーションカラー、カード背景透過率、ネオンの影効果などを自由に変更できます。
  • 実機へのテーマ送信: 設定したカラーテーマ情報はBLEを通じてペンダント側へ転送され、アクセサリーとアプリで統一感のあるネオンコーディネートを楽しめます。

Welcome to the USHER companion smartphone app manual! This guide details how to pair your device, download and edit GIPHY animations, browse history gallery, write Lua applications with our watch-face emulator, and customize themes.

[01] BLE Connection & Setup

The companion app syncs and controls the wearable pendant using Bluetooth LE (BLE).

  • How to Pair: Tap the BLE icon/scan button on the main dashboard. Connect to your detected smart necklace device (e.g. USHER_XXXX).
  • Auto-Reconnect: Once a pairing profile is saved, the app automatically establishes a secure connection whenever the necklace is powered on and within range.
  • Dashboard Indicators: Displays connected status, battery health, storage capacity, and links to all primary feature modules.

[02] GIPHY Search & Downloader

The companion app integrates GIPHY API directly to search, filter, and queue clip assets.

  • Curated Filters: Search with custom tags or tap the scrolling category selector chips (Trending, Cyberpunk, Anime, Pixel Art, Gaming, Sci-Fi, Reactions) to browse immediately.
  • Infinite Grid Loading: The grid automatically loads and appends the next 30 items as you scroll near the bottom.
  • Offline Downloads: Bypasses hardware connection checks. Clicking any GIF saves it directly to local cache and pushes the file immediately into the video editor dashboard.

[03] Video & GIF Clip Editor

Convert standard media formats into optimized low-memory binary assets styled specifically for circular display screens.

  • Trimming & Cropping: Adjust active playback ranges, scale size dimensions, rotate orientation, choose circular masking (bezel preview clipping), and configure target framerates (FPS) / speed.
  • Delta Compression Encoding: Automatically encodes frame data to low-overhead custom binary formats (.rgb565 / .rgb332). Saves only delta changes between sequential frames, reducing BLE upload payloads significantly.
  • One-Tap Send: Sync the output binary to your smart pendant over BLE immediately.

[04] Created Files Gallery (Upload History)

Your compile operations are logged and stored in the application's local history directory.

  • Clean Visual Design: Grid view organizes compiled items into a 2-column list. To maintain a clean UI, internal long filenames are hidden.
  • Card Details Layout:
    • Date: Displays at the top-right corner.
    • Size / Capacity: Displays at the bottom-left corner.
    • Upload Sync Icon: Displays at the bottom-right corner, updating to a green check if verified on the connected smart necklace.
  • Custom Inline Player: Renders and decodes delta-compressed binary sequences (.rgb565 and .rgb332) inline, giving you dynamic previews inside the gallery without converting to heavy video formats.
  • Batch Multi-Select Deletion: Long-press any item to activate select checkboxes. Pick several items and tap the Trash icon in the App Bar to delete them simultaneously.

[05] Lua Script Editor & Live Circle Emulator

Code and run applications on your phone, then deploy directly onto the smart necklace.

  • Built-in Editor: Write Lua 5.3 compliant scripts directly inside the app text editor.
  • Metallic circular bezel emulator: Leverages the lua_dardo virtual machine to execute scripts inside an interactive circular watch face. Features LVGL bindings, Lottie vector animations, Google Fonts (Share Tech Mono, Montserrat), and UTF-8 technical icons (\uE001 - \uE020).
  • State Persistence: Key storage commands like app.save_settings or json.save write directly to local JSON databases. This ensures high-scores, preference lists, or pet progress are maintained when the emulator is reloaded.
  • Direct Upload: Install your custom app into the /apps/ partition on USHER over BLE with a single click.

[06] Theme Customization (Settings)

Personalize the appearance of the companion app and export the palette styles to your pendant.

  • Access Path: Open Settings and select "Appearance".
  • Adjustable Colors: Customize background assets, button gradients, text colors, and cyber neon box-shadows.
  • Synchronize Colorways: Export active theme specifications to the necklace via BLE, harmonizing accessory bezel colors with your phone.
